Service is occasionally slow, but they food is excellent as is the tea and coffee selection. One of the things I love is that the rewards program goes off of how frequently I visit, so its become a great place to grab a coffee or tea and study, or stop in for a snack or lunch.

Delicious vegetarian fare. I had the tacos and a side salad with cilantro dressing. A large iced tea of course and they had a lovely selection. My companion had an amazing looking grilled sandwich. The service was inconsistent, mine came out so much earlier than hers that I was almost done by the time she started.

If you are looking for something fresh this is the place to go. I have only had their solstice tacos when I went with a side Salad and Thai dressing but I can't complain. I did have a friend who ordered the Everything but the Girl rice bowl which was also delicious. They have a great selection of teas and I tried their chai tea, which had a kick to it but, great. The restaurant is connected/in Dancing Crane imports if you enjoy things dealing with energy, stones or music this place has a relaxing vibe to it. The workers there are also great at giving suggestions and are very chill

This is the coziest place in Salt Lake to get a chai or to just hang out with friends and enjoy a conversation. I love the environment of this place. I will definitely come again, and I'll send my friends. Thanks for the great service!

Always delicious, always fresh, always friendly! I've enjoyed Cafe Solstice for coffee/tea and lunch and enjoyed the selection and variety. It's nice to find a spot that makes healthy eating easy and flavorful. Another plus is the location, inside "Dancing Crane", which makes shopping convenient.

The story goes that I yelped "Jasmine Tea" and it brought me here. Suddenly I was overcome with overzealous disappointment (dramatic sigh): How have I not heard of this place before?!?!?! I had to check it out. What is "quirky" by Utah standards, felt like a cool stop for lunch somewhere in Venice; the hospitality, quality service, and amazing tea offerings felt right at home. Part shoppe, part coffee stop, Cafe Solstice is a sure bet to please certain tastes. I ordered a simple, large sweetened Jasmine Milk Tea and walked around Dancing Cranes Imports (within the same locale). Given by the reviews most people have offered, this is a nice place to find unique gifts and snag vegan-friendly fare. I will definitely be trying lunch sometime in the future, but for now, I have to say that Cafe Solstice is proof that there are many gems I've yet to discover in the heart of SLC.

I enjoy the fun quirks of the Dancing Crane, but Cafe Solstice wasn't what I had hoped it would be. I went in because I had a coupon for a free entree. The cafe was clean. The chalkboard menu was chaotic, thank heaven they had printed menu so I could make sense of what was available. I picked the turkey pesto sandwich for $7ish. I asked for the order to go, which the staff happily obliged to fulfill. When I sat down, I realized how potent the incense from the Dancing Crane truly is, but didn't irritate me as badly as some other commenters may have been. I got my turkey sandwich and left. The sandwich was made up of 3-4 very thinly sliced pieces of deli meat and tasted more of sesame or something Asiatic than pesto, which is what I really ordered the sandwich for. The sandwich also had greens on them which were crisp. The chips and salsa which the sandwich came with were pretty tasty and had great texture. Overall, I was disappointed with the scant sandwich that I was presented not only in size but also in taste for which I would have paid no more than $5. If I were to return, I would not return for the food, but would try a drink instead.

The food wasn't bad but I wasn't a fan of the strong inscent smell. The hippie vibe and lack of seating were also no bueno.

Everything here is delicious! I personally love the Solstice Tacos and Rosemary Lavender cookies along with a White Symphony to wash it all down. Great vibe, down to earthy feel here and the staff is all very nice.

Very casual, hippyish place, in a not so great location. Great tea selection, healthy vegan options, and yummy bite sized deserts. I really enjoyed the daily special today: spicy gazpacho with veggie humus sandwich.

The Luna burger and the banana chai smoothie here is awesome. I also had a tea called "happy place", and it literally left me feeling like I just took a dab, minus the fogginess. Amazing! Will be back soon.

The food here is always tasty & they are health conscious. The service is always really slow though so don't go if you are in a hurry.

Located in what externally appears as a factory, the smell of patchouli and good-earth crystals immediately hits your nose upon entrance in this place. The cafe itself is an off-shoot from the various wind chimes and folk art offered by various vendors at this indoor bazaar. In case you haven't ascertained by now, this place is for hippies. The tacos at this place were awesome; they tasted super fresh and had this layer of cheese on the bottom. Highly recommended. The chai was pretty good though my standards are probably impossibly high given my desire for cinnamon, spice, and the other two twice. Everybody else seemed happy with their choices (Pesto Grilled Cheese, Veggie Sandwich, Rice Bowl). Service was very slow but amiable. Minus one star for the seemingly endless variations of Enya playing over the loudspeaker including the song that sounded like "Little Drummer Boy." I annoyed the crap out of my companions by trying to sing that one on the drive home.

This was a pleasant surprise. I came in solely because I had a free entree. I would have never gone out of my way to come here, but was pleased to find out it was located inside Dancing Crane, which I've put off visiting for months. There was not much variety to the lunch menu. Everything was very health oriented. It shouldn't come as a surprise given the ambiance, however. The turkey pesto was less a turkey sandwich, and more a salad with good bread. I would usually pick off the veggies, but decided "when in Rome". Very tasty nonetheless. I wouldn't come back simply because it is not my style. I would keep this place in mind for any hipster chicks I need to impress in the future. It's nice to try new things.

This is my favorite place to eat! I love the atmosphere as well as the staff. The solstice tacos are my favorite thing on the menu. I also really enjoy the dragon bowl. What I enjoy most is getting the special, it's creative and delicious every time. Every time I go I get a muffin, best muffin you'll ever have. Everything at Cafe Solstice is exceptial: food, coffee, desserts, loose leaf teas and smoothies. Amazing quality at an affordable price.

My favorite eatery in the valley. The luna burger is delicious and the cappuccinos are always wonderful! The atmosphere is quiet and entices you into a zen state. I visit as often as I can!

Such a wonderful atmosphere - homey and comfortable! Love their food - fresh, vegan with many gluten free options. Wonderful place to linger over lunch and have coffee with friends.

Carmelitas are really good but sometimes the staff seem like they're smoking too much. . .

I have never had a bad experience here. The french toast is marvelous and coffee delicious. The staff are super cool and friendly. Good place for a first date because there's a very cool store attached to the restaurant filled with lots of conversation pieces.

Sooo disappointed in my first visit to Cafe Solstice. I ordered the French Picnic special - blackberries, strawberries, grapes, Kalamata olives, brie and baguette bread with balsamic. The olives were not as firm as I usually experience. I had to cut away significant chunks of two of the three strawberries that were mushy and dented. I only got two 1/2-inch slices of baguette that were not especially fresh, and instead of brie I got a packaged round of Babybel. Unfortunately, I had ordered it to go and didn't check it out until I got back to the office. When I called to ask why I did not get brie, the girl on the phone told me she thought Babybel WAS brie. Long story short: 1. I did not get what I was supposed to get based on the menu. 2. What I did get was sub-par. 3. The portion was too small for the price paid. The staff was friendly, but not attentive. I waited ten minutes to get my scant offering, and watched it sit on the counter for quite a while as others were served. The atmosphere of the cafe is enjoyable - almost like you're sitting in your home. I really wanted to like this place, and maybe someday I'll give it a second chance, but not soon.

This place is a little hard to find but worth my getting lost to find it. Nice little cafe inside a super fun store. I had a salad with the miso dressing and the taste was Sooooo good not too tangy it was rich and creamy miso. Their unique mango basil drink was surprisingly delish.

Been going here regularly for six months now. One of the best vegan/vegetarian places in town and here's why. Reasonably priced for the quality of food and ingredients. Vegan/vegetarian food like gluten free, no MSG, Non GMO, organic, natural, whole grain food tends to be higher priced than the processed stuff. Yet, they keep the price between $5-10 for everything. The staff are always friendly and helpful and you don't have to wait long to get what you ordered. They never disappoint with the quality. Hot, fresh tasting with lots of ingredients so you're getting a good experience. I especially like the salad with the peanut sauce. The owner is there usually and treats all the customers with respect and courtesy. There is a good variety of things to choose from from the food and drink menu, and their Sunday breakfast muffins are to die for! Savory with goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, basil and other mouth watering items gets me excited every time I see they have them. I'd highly recommend this place at least once. It's nice and chill, has the store right there so you can shop after you eat, and is next to the 7 e trolley stop so it's convenient to get there if you're without a vehicle like me.

Hard to find, not many options on menu, and terrible service. No acknowledgement when I walked up to the counter, waited 5 minutes when I was finally approached by someone, and then she had an attitude with me. Will never come back.

If you are vegan or vegetarian you will love this place. I like to eat vegan foods and have some experience with them. I am not an expert. This place is a small side cafe in an import place. Even though it is small it has a great selection. I got the veggie burger and it was really good. The bun fell apart while eating it but it was still enjoyable. I got chips and salsa with it. The salsa was AWESOME. I also got a desert there and it was awesome. My children enjoyed the muffins but were not big fans of the food. The kids did enjoy the fruit smoothie. I went in the summer time and the AC is not very good. It was hot in the cafe. I would reccomend this place to other vegans, however if you are not used to this type of food you will not be able to appreciate how good it is.

Cute place. Good food. Good value. I ordered the only thing on the menu that used to have a face, the turkey pesto sandwich. I opted for the half sandwich and salad combo, on multi-grain bread. The meal was exactly like something I would make at home. Nothing special or exotic, but very fresh and yummy. The creamy cucumber dressing was very good, although I was expecting something "ranchy," but it was more "vinegary." Still great tasting, though. My lunch was tasty and healthy. I'd certainly return to try some of the non-meat-items.

My boyfriend and I discovered this place with a Groupon, and we LOVE it. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the food is great. Wonderful for vegetarians, nice atmosphere. If this place was closer to downtown, I would eat here a lot more. I definitely wish it was open on Sunday...

Solstice is delicious! Some very yummy vegetarian fare, and an awesome selection of cafinated beverages as well. Some of their grub takes a minute so be patient and check out the dancing crane's imported odds and ends while you wait. I recommended the veggie burger.

This place for me, is a 5 star. I've been making Dancing Crane trips for about 7 years now. They have always had somewhere to grab a tea or coffee but ever since they renovated and put in Cafe Solstice I've been hooked. The service is always great and they make delicious beverages. They have vegan, vegetarian options that are organic and locally grow. Amazing! Right up my alley. My favorite import store is making local business and vegan dreams come true. Their matcha tea is a favorite of mine. I usually order their vegan tomato soup with the olive and hummus sandwhich. Delish! Their Yukon golden potato soup is a good one too. They will make a grilled cheese even though its not on the menu too! Grab some eats and browse around the coolest import store in SLC. When you purchase something at Cafe Solstice, Dancing Crane gives you a discount on your import purchase. :)

I'm a fan of this cafe located within Dancing crane imports ! I've tried the wrap , and the veggie plate .I tried the wrap when I was trying to go vegetarian .I don't like peppers or tomatoes so they wouldn't put them in if i didn't want them . the veggie plate was simple fair of veggies, hummus and pita if i remember right .. nothing fancy that I couldn't make at home if I had the ingredients at the time . the wrap was fresh and good everytime i went there especially with the peanut sauce dip -I always needed more ! and suprisingly filling and light :) .overall the prices are way fair and the food for vegetarians is fresh and honest . I liked to service and the casual vibe of the place, very quite and relaxing . my only regrets is i wish i 'd tried some of the other foods, the loose leaf teas and gone more often . unfortunately i couldn't because sugar house by trax, bus and walking can be longer trip than desired from downtown Salt lake with a heavy load of college classes , I wasn't able to go as much as i liked .

This place has a unique vibe. It is inside of an import shop. So there is all kinds of unique imported decorations. The foods are all on the healthy side and from the 4 different orders at our table everyone was pleased with their food. Although everyone said the flavors of their stuff was not exactly what they expected. I personally had the veggie wrap and everything was crisp and delicious, the hummus was great. Also had a cup of Egyptian Red Lentil Soup and it was awesome. Perfect balance of lentil and cumin. Overall a wonderful experience and the Dancing Crane shop was really fun to explore.

Although not easy to find intially, they have a great selection of vegetarian lunch items - one of the best smoothies you can get in SLC

It's heaven in your mouth, awesome atmosphere, and amazing people. Coffee, tea, vegan, vegetarian, deserts, soups, sandwiches, sauces, pure deliciousness. Make sure to have plenty of time so you can shop at Dancing Cranes while you're at it.

Not much on their menu! They had like five food options. I loved the decor. The service was great! We ordered a coffee and a fruit bar and the fruit bar was very good but a little too sugary.

I'm horrible with directions and rely on my GPS heavily. So naturally, I punch in Cafe Soltice's address for directions in order to make it on time to meet up with a friend. I get to the street where they say they were located and there was no Cafe Solstice in sight. After going around and around trying to find it, I just parked where they said they were located and just went into whatever business that was close by and I was in the building but the enterance was on other side. Also, I didn't know they were inside a store, A person like me could never find it on their own. I go inside and of course my friend is already there... I ordered a turkey sandwich and my friend ordered the luna burger. The food was pretty good. we split half of our sandwiches to try each other dishes and I have to say I regretted getting the turkey sandwich. Although it was a very good sandwich, the luna burger was divine and it was meat free which was also a big plus. The staff isn't friendly, but I wouldn't say they were unfriendly... just eh. The store and the atomosphere itself was very new agey. That sort of scene is really not my cup of tea because I don't believe in holistic medicine or the lifestyle most of the time but I didn't mind. The food was good and reasonably priced and that's all that mattered to me. '' I wouldn't go out of my way to go eat here but if I was in the area, I wouldn't mind going in again for another bite or two. I highly recommend this place for people who want a healthy lunch.

Lovely setting in an interesting store. Under new owners and managed much better! Cafe offers wraps, soups, salads, sandwiches, teas and coffees. All homemade. Very pleasant staff. They do take-out as well.

I may be a bit biased because my significant other is cooking at this brand new coffee and light lunch fare establishment inside of Dancing Cranes, but, so far, I think the food and the drinks are excellent. It's very veg friendly. I've had the Hummus & Olive sandwich, the Luna Burger (veggie patty made with walnuts, pumpkin seeds, & mushroom topped with tomato chutney), and the Solstice Tacos. I've enjoyed them all immensely. Also, I highly recommend getting a 'Dirty Devi'- it's a Devi Chai cut with espresso. You'll feel like an insider because you'll be ordering off the menu when you get your Dirty Devi. They're open the same hours that Dancing Cranes is open: Mon - Sat: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Sun:1 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

A Groupon led me to this lovely cafe or else I never would have discovered it-it is hidden in a store and doesn't have an external sign so it was somewhat difficult to find. My friend and I split the luna burger and the green terra sandwich with salads. Get the miso dressing, it was scrumptious and the cilantro zest dressing was too oily and flavorless. I liked the luna burger but didn't love the bun-it was simply a sandwich thin that I can purchase at any grocery store. The green terra sandwich had great flavor and I would definitely get that one again. Both sandwiches and the salad were laden with shredded carrots which I found to be a tad excessive (and I love carrots), it would have been great to see sprouts or shredded zucchini on there for variety. We loved how healthy everything was and how good we felt after eating such yummy and healthy food. Service was good-the staff was very friendly and they have some cute and comfy tables and chairs to eat at. If in the area I would definitely go again.

An eclectic health food cafe. I had a brown rice bowl and found it simple and nourishing, the basil pesto/sauce on the top was delicious. I ordered a coffee but it had a bit of an aftertaste, next time I will order a smoothie as they looked great. Lots of food options for vegetarians and people with dietary requirements. They have the Belly awards program and can have deals for free entree's.
